Students enrolled in our pipefitting program learn how to fabricate metal — including every size of pipe imaginable (some large enough to walk through!) — to form complex piping systems. Your training will cover everything from the basics of air-conditioning theory to the detailed mechanics of cooling and heating systems.
During your first year, you'll gain hands-on experience learning how to solder and braze, a must-have for working in this field. You’ll advance to learn the latest in installing large scale commercial mechanical piping systems including welding, rigging, pipe layout and blueprint reading.
You'll master the art of air-conditioning and refrigeration system installations for commercial systems. Your training will cover everything from the basics of air-conditioning theory to the detailed mechanics of cooling and heating systems. Plus, you’ll become adept at installation of cooling towers, chilled water systems, boilers and heat exchangers.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in our shops with industry-standard tools and test equipment, including the latest in pipefitting and welding technology. You’ll learn the skills you need to advance and succeed and achieve higher earning power each year.
